Privacy Policy

What we collect

• If you create an account: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile photo Google shares. That’s the whole account.
• If you rate or save businesses: your ratings and favourites are linked to your account so they work, but ratings are always displayed anonymously — only the stars and the count are ever shown, never who rated.
• Usage counters: we count page views and button taps (WhatsApp, call, directions) per business as daily totals, so businesses can see their listing works. These are aggregate numbers, not browsing histories.
• Searches: we log search terms and how many results they returned, so we know which businesses people want us to add. Searches are not linked to your account or identity.

What we never collect

• Your location. If you grant location access, distances like “3.7 km away” are calculated on your device. Your position is never sent to or stored on our servers.
• Payment details (we don’t process customer payments today).
• Anything from your contacts, photos, or other apps.

Cookies

One cookie, and only if you sign in — it keeps you signed in. No tracking cookies, no third-party advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

Nobody, commercially — we don’t sell or rent data, full stop. We use a small number of service providers to run OvaDeh (hosting, email delivery for password resets, Google for optional sign-in), each receiving only what that job requires.

Your choices

You can use OvaDeh fully without an account. If you have one, email [email protected] to request a copy of your data or to delete your account — deletion removes your ratings and favourites too. We aim to answer within a few days.

Businesses listed on OvaDeh

Listings contain business information (names, menus, hours, contact details) that is publicly available or provided by the business. If you own a business and want your listing corrected or removed, contact us and we’ll act quickly.

Changes

We’ll update this page as the service grows (for example, when online ordering launches) and change the version date above. Significant changes will be flagged on the site. Questions: [email protected].
